說真的~有時我還蠻雞婆的,這個就是在我很關心的朋友有女友之際, 卻發現自己不想定下來,
我和他分享的觀點
其實這是引述President Gordon Hinckley的話, 當時特別記下來提醒子自己的
是當考慮選擇終身伴侶&完成終身大事時, 用來問自己的幾個問題
A: 就你說的問題...我的解讀是~
T:What kind of parent am I prepared to be?
Ａ：我想要成為怎麼樣的父母? 不太了解...這和要當怎麼樣的父母有關嗎?
T:假如依照您的女友是要以結婚為前提, 那麼之後雙方有朝一日會成為兩人共同孕育的孩子的父母吧, 並且在之後的20年間共同養育子女 至成年, 像你我的父母這樣
那麼if 談戀愛3年(girlfriend & boyfriend), 新婚蜜月期3年or less (lovers), 成為父母卻有20年(husband & wife; dad & mom)
因此選伴侶時也在為未來生育的兒女選擇父母, 並且準備自己扮演好這角色
Joanna 曾說她覺得自己沒有遺傳到媽媽的智商, 也曾抱怨媽媽沒選好伴侶
常常省思自己身為母親這個角色, 特別是這段母兼父職的期間,
從而也想起我那位活潑外向多才多藝興趣廣泛的職業婦女媽媽, 儘管盡力而為, 但我身上還是有母親的影子和價值觀
你也想一下固然有些天生而與眾不同的特質,你身上是否具有父母的某些特質呢?
所以選情人¸ 除非不生養兒女, 也會影響自己的後代 & 生活的每個層面
Ｔ：Do I want to associate with someone because of his or her popularity only, or do I look for spiritual or moral qualities?
Ａ：這句我不太曉得要如何翻譯比較好
Ｔ：翻譯的話: 我想與她(他)交往只是因為她(他)受歡迎, 還是我也尋求精神或道德品格方面的品質?
Ｔ：Am I analyzing our similarities and differences in background, culture, and intellect?
Ａ：我是否分析我們相同與相異之處，在價值觀與相處模式 (背景、文化、智能)
T: Am I prepared to adjust to these differences?
A: 我是否準備好調整彼此的不同之處
T:Do I realize that such adjustments need to be made before marriage?
Ａ：我是否有領悟到必須在結婚之前做這些調整?

有些人 - 妳以為已經忘了他, 但其實永遠也沒有忘記...
有些人是捧不起的幸福,但這也是另一種幸福吧
有時候 眼淚只是情緒的氾濫
但是又何必傷神呢!
多半的時候 還是有滿滿的感謝~
謝謝你陪我走過那一段, 成為我生命中的一項了不起的祝福

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding in Boise Idaho Temple!
You are a man with full capacity to love and serve, and surely will make a great husband for Sister Millie Pearce, a loving father for your future sons and daughters, and a blessing for your new family and community.
Since I have been worked on multi- "M" projects, I also have good news that I am admitted to the MBA program of National Taiwan University of Technologies and Science in April, and will keep working for other "M" projects, too.
Through following the guidance and counsel from the Lord's prophets, we have better chance to achieve success in every areas of our life, and I am well prepared to listen to the General Conference talks.

I want to write and tell you the good news that I'm engaged to be married! I will marry Millie Pearce on June 6 in the Boise, Idaho temple. She and I met a year ago at BYU and have been dating since then; she's currently in Idaho while I'm here at school. I wanted to let you know the good news!
Also, since this weekend is General Conference and we'll have the opportunity of hearing from the Prophet, I wanted to share my encouragement to attend and listen to the Lord's Prophet and to share my testimony that President Monson is truly the Lord's living prophet today! We will be greatly blessed ourselves and in our families as we listen to and follow his counsel!
